18mm Black SAM Kit

Description

The SAM kit is a mechanism for 18-mm adjustable slats designed for creating windbreaks, privacy screens, louvered panels, palisades, fences, and more. It covers a height of 485 mm and is used with a manual opening system featuring a stopper. To achieve the desired length, connect as many kits as needed. If your required length is shorter than the kit’s length, it can be cut to size with a hacksaw.

The polypropylene kit (30% glass fiber-reinforced and UV-treated) has excellent mechanical properties and very good resistance to winds of up to 110 km/h and to temperature fluctuations (from -20°C to +90°C).

This kit is compatible with the following blades:

• wood/PVC, 18 x 97 x 1000 mm
• aluminum measuring 18 x 99 x 2000 mm

Installation Tips:

It is recommended to pre-drill holes in metal structures to prevent the screws from breaking.

If you do not want any slats to be cut to size, allow a space of 1034 mm between the beams for wooden slats—that is, 1000 mm for the slat length, 30 mm for the kit thickness (15 mm on each side), and 4 mm for operational clearance—and 2034 mm for aluminum slats. Caution: Do not allow more than 4 mm of clearance, as this could cause the slat to fall.

When using wood or PVC decking boards, we strongly recommend that you do not exceed a maximum length of one meter. Avoid high-density woods, such as exotic species or solid wood. We recommend using highly stable woods (such as softwoods), like joinery-grade red cedar, or our THT wood decking boards.

Please note that screws and blades are not included with the kit.
