1. Choosing the kit or the complete package
- The SAM 20mm kit is what you need to equip a pergola roof (available in white, gray, or black).
- The SAM 18mm kit is ideal for equipping vertical sections (privacy screens, windbreaks).
Each kit includes 5 blade holders, with a left side and a right side. The kits connect easily to each other using a locking latch, for quick and flexible installation.
And to further adapt it to your project, the kit can be recut, allowing you to precisely adjust the number of blade holders you need.
The SAM kit is available in two options:
- The kit alone, for those who want to build their own installation.
- The complete pack, which includes the kit, blades, and screws, ready to cover 1 m² in no time.

2. Blade selection and size
First, determine the desired dimensions for your pergola. Once you have decided on these, you can calculate the number of slats needed to build a pergola.
The blade holders on the mechanism can accommodate aluminum blades measuring 100x20x2000 mm or wooden blades measuring 95x20x1000 mm.
The maximum length of aluminum blades is 2000 mm and the maximum length of wooden blades is 1000 mm.
The blades can be cut to the length required for the project. However, you must always leave a 2 mm expansion gap on each side between the blade and the blade support, giving a total gap of 4 mm.
3. Securing the kit
The mechanism is attached to the structure at the closed end of the kit. The type of fastener will depend on the structure to which it will be attached. The screws must therefore be adapted to the substrate, whether metal or wood. In the case of packaged kits (blades + kit), 4.8×38 self-drilling screws are provided in the same color as the mechanism.
4. Mechanisms
- Manual version: using a rotating plate attached to one of the pergola slats, into which a rod is inserted to rotate all the connected mechanisms.
- Motorized version with remote control. An option with rain, wind, and temperature sensors is available to ensure optimal user comfort.
